WebTorrent is a streaming BitTorrent client written entirely in JavaScript, so the same code runs as a Node.js torrent client and, via WebRTC, directly inside a browser with no plugins. It exposes downloaded files as streams so playback can begin before a torrent finishes downloading, and it also installs as a standalone command-line torrent client for downloading or streaming a torrent to a media player.
