Matchbox is an AI-assisted recommendation service. Matches, scores, reasoning, caveats and “next steps” are generated automatically from catalog data and your problem description. They are informational suggestions, not professional, legal, medical or financial advice, and not a guarantee that a product fits your needs or works as described. Product listings are compiled from public sources and founder submissions; listings marked “unclaimed” or “unverified” have not been confirmed by their maker and may contain errors.

Ranking is never sold. Paid tiers do not affect whether or how prominently a product is matched.

Matches link to products and websites operated by third parties. We are not affiliated with them unless stated, receive no commissions on purchases, and are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing or conduct. Your use of a matched product is solely between you and its provider.

You agree not to misuse the service — including submitting unlawful content, attempting to disrupt or overload the service, circumventing rate limits, scraping the catalog at scale, or claiming a listing for a product you did not make. We may restrict or block access that violates these rules.

Makers may claim their listing free of charge to confirm ownership. Editing a listing and access to match analytics are features of paid tiers. We may edit, correct, decline or remove any listing to keep the catalog accurate and lawful. By submitting listing content you confirm you have the rights to it and grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and process it to operate the service.

Founder and Pro are annual subscriptions for makers, billed via Stripe at the prices shown on the founders page. Subscriptions renew annually unless cancelled; on cancellation the listing reverts to the free tier at the end of the paid period. Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers remain unaffected.

Matchbox is provided as an evolving service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may change, suspend or discontinue features. We may amend these terms with effect for the future; material changes will be announced on this page.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Liability under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr; we are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.
