Transfer is a Nextcloud app that adds an 'Upload by link' option to the files view, letting a user paste a URL and have the server fetch and store the file using the server's own bandwidth. Uploads run as a queued background cron job with activity notifications on start, completion, or failure, and an optional checksum can be provided to verify the download.
