SubnetDesk is an independently maintained fork of RustDesk built specifically for remote control between devices that can already reach each other over a LAN, routed private network, or VPN. It removes RustDesk's public device-ID, rendezvous, relay, and cloud-account paths in favor of direct IP connections and local device discovery. It's aimed at home labs, offices, classrooms, and on-site support scenarios that don't need or want a cloud relay.
