Piumy is a free, self-hosted tool that lets an AI agent answer a user's WhatsApp messages over MCP, with per-chat control over how much autonomy the agent has, from answering fully on its own to requiring approval before anything is sent. Everything runs on the user's own machine, including a Raspberry Pi, so messages never route through a third-party service.
