Ping Warden

macOS menu bar app that blocks AWDL during latency-sensitive games and calls

DesktopEmergingfree

Ping Warden is a free, open-source macOS menu bar app that keeps Apple Wireless Direct Link (AWDL) switched off during latency-sensitive games, calls, or cloud game streaming, since a one-time manual fix doesn't last as macOS reactivates AWDL within seconds. Turning protection on trades away AirDrop, AirPlay, and Handoff while active, with a quick toggle or a 10-minute pause available from the menu bar. It is aimed at Mac gamers and cloud-gaming or video-call users who want AWDL reliably suppressed during a session.
