OpenCanvas is a self-hosted chat interface that turns AI answers into draggable widgets, such as charts, kanban boards and live timers, placed on an infinite canvas instead of printed as paragraphs of text. It works with any major AI provider or a fully local Ollama model, lets the model register new widget types as it needs them, and indexes everything locally so a keyboard shortcut finds any past widget again. It also connects to a filesystem, GitHub or Jira through MCP servers for richer agent-driven workflows.
