OAuth2 Proxy is an open-source reverse proxy or middleware component that adds OAuth2 and OpenID Connect authentication in front of web applications, without requiring changes to the applications themselves. It supports many identity providers including Google, Microsoft Entra ID, GitHub, and generic OIDC, forwarding user details to upstream apps via HTTP headers. It's aimed at platform and infrastructure engineers who want one shared authentication layer across several internal services, and is a CNCF Sandbox project.
