NEXUS Engine

Self-hosted, privacy-first search engine for local files and crawled web pages

PlatformWebfree

NEXUS Engine is an open-source, self-hosted search engine written in Rust that indexes local files and crawled web pages into one searchable corpus, ranking results with a BM25-style lexical index plus PageRank and recency signals. It's exposed through a CLI, HTTP and WebSocket APIs, a browser frontend, and an optional WebAssembly build, with a robots.txt-respecting crawler and conservative privacy defaults. It's for people who want search over their own files and a controlled web corpus without relying on a third-party search provider.
