lidawake

Keeps a MacBook running with the lid closed, screen dark and locked, with no external display needed.

Desktopfreeglobal

lidawake is a free macOS command-line tool that keeps a MacBook fully running with the lid closed, screen dark and locked, without needing an external display, dock or power adapter connected. A background daemon decides when to hold this state based on power and battery level, aimed at MacBook users who want background work to keep running with the lid shut.
