Lavern is an open-source, self-hosted system where 67 specialist AI agents review legal documents together: posting cited findings, challenging each other through a debate protocol, and passing everything through a three-layer verification pipeline before a human approves any critical finding at a mandatory gate. It can run interactively through a dashboard or autonomously against a watched folder, and supports Anthropic Claude, Mistral for an EU-only data boundary, or a fully local model.
