Inweb

Literate-programming system for writing and documenting large codebases as narrative 'webs'.

Desktopfree

Inweb is a free, open-source literate-programming tool that lets a program be written as a human-readable narrative, or 'web', which compiles into working code and also generates a companion documentation website. It is designed to scale to much larger programs than earlier literate-programming tools and has managed a roughly 300,000-line codebase for the Inform programming language project since 2004. It is aimed at developers who write large codebases using the literate-programming methodology.
