freeport

Strips mandated age-verification birth-date fields from Linux system packages

Pluginfree

freeport is an open-source tool that patches Linux system packages, starting with Arch Linux, to remove birth-date and age-verification fields being added to core packages such as systemd in response to recent age-assurance legislation. It publishes rebuilt, clean packages through its own pacman repository with a pre-install hook, aimed at Linux administrators who want to keep those identity-collection fields out of servers and infrastructure that a standard distro would otherwise ship them into.
