fping

High-performance command-line ping tool for checking many hosts at once

Desktopfree

fping is a free command-line tool that sends ICMP echo probes to network hosts, similar to the standard ping command but built to perform much better when checking many hosts at once. It dates back to 1992 and has become a standard sysadmin utility, running on Linux and macOS in either privileged or unprivileged mode, with a Docker image also available. It is aimed at sysadmins and network engineers who need to check reachability across large numbers of hosts efficiently.
