ESPAltherma is a DIY monitoring solution that uses a low-cost ESP32 or ESP8266 microcontroller connected to a Daikin Altherma, ROTEX, or HOVAL Belaria heat pump's serial port to read operating data and publish it over MQTT with Home Assistant auto-discovery. It can optionally turn the heat pump on and off remotely. It's aimed at home automation hobbyists who own one of these heat pumps and want visibility into its performance.
