AWS Vault

Securely stores and accesses AWS credentials in development environments via the OS keystore.

Desktopfree

AWS Vault securely stores AWS IAM credentials in the operating system's keystore, such as macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager, and generates short-lived temporary credentials for the shell or applications instead of exposing long-lived keys in plaintext. It works alongside the AWS CLI's existing profile setup and supports MFA and role assumption. It's a maintained fork of the original 99designs/aws-vault project, aimed at developers working with AWS locally.
