aeneas

Python/C library and CLI toolset that automatically synchronizes audio and text (forced alignment).

Desktopfreeglobal

A Python/C library and command-line toolset, aeneas performs forced alignment by producing a synchronization map between text fragments and corresponding audio. It reduces the manual work of timing captions or audiobook text, aimed at audiobook publishers and developers building captioning, subtitle, or language-learning tools, and can be self-hosted with support for espeak, espeak‑ng, and festival backends. It aligns existing text and audio and is not a real-time speech-to-text system.
