Tools to convert folders into crates

The problem, in plain words: “I need an app that converts music folders into DJ software crates/playlists because my current setup no longer supports folder-to-crate importing.”

CrateSync fits best, with 1 more that fits too.

You want a tool to mirror your existing music folders into DJ software crates/playlists so your library works again.

What fits

CrateSyncstrong · 93

CrateSync is specifically a macOS utility that mirrors folders into Serato crates, keeping the crate structure in sync with your folder hierarchy. It also supports recreating matching Serato subcrate structures, and it exports/imports playlists (M3U8/M3U/PLS/CSV) to and from crates, which directly fits your folder-to-crate migration need without moving or renaming your audio files.

Best for: Keeping a Serato library aligned with your existing folder structure by generating/updating crates and related playlists.
